The fact that this guy actually told the truth and TOLD his therapist he stepped over the vacuum is pretty huge. That means he TRULY wants to improve, so much so that he's willing to be vulnerable and risk humiliating himself. That's more than a lot of people can do.

One thing I would say about depression though, that seems to diverge from this micro-win strategy like cleaning up your sock drawer. What jordan is counting on is that these little micro wins will produce a dopamine response that will create some sort of momentum and sense of self esteem. But it hasn't been that way in my experience. I understand that it looks that way from the outside in.

It's more like chewing old gum. You can chew and chew for weeks on end, it's not going to suddenly produce flavor. Hope to God I'm wrong

In Asian countries, it's pretty common to still live with your parents until you get married. It's common to see adults in their mid twenties to late twenties working a professional job and still live with their parents. Their parents would do their laundry and make them food. So, they just work and save their money. By the time they get married, they would already have saved a bit of money. Asian families are really close knitted. That can be a good and a bad thing.

There is this belief by Asian ppl that White ppl or Western ppl don't care about their kids. They don't see any sense in kicking them out when they turned 18.

a child out of wedlock by accident there is know accident when all the women would have to do is take the pill or have an abortion. what he is meaning is the women he was with conned him into it 1:25 he will be paying child support soon for a child he did not want or sign up for more than likely it was with a women he can barely stand for 5 minutes. his life is going to be like a bad joke hope he does not try to be a dad to the kid because if he gets nothing out of the women or she is just not worth it to stick around for the kid for then he should just leave. the fact is he owes them nothing. that is the problem with men now days they mess with a women without thinking if she has a kid without his consent is she worth it to stick around for if not don't mess with them hands down but a lot of man children do then they learn that lesson the hard way. he should put on is big boy pants and think about what he is getting out of the relationship before going into one with the women in question. its going to be very rough on him for something he was not taught
