This is kinda my nightmare. I'm hitting 22 soon . I don't have a job, dropped out of college . I tried one or two jobs but nothing lasts more then a month. Doctor diagnosed me avoidant personality disorder. I'm just scared. I don't have any friends, I don't want to make friends.. I'm tired. I just want to have a job. So I can live without depending on my family. I barely ever leave home. I'm really scared that I'm going to end up like this.

I’m 32 and I would be miserable if I still lived at home

This is literally life for many Californians in their 30s. So many of them are living at home because they can't afford to move out.

It's difficult when somebody just cannot fit into society. You're expected to work and fit in etc. Imagine if you just could not fit in.

My parents were the opposite of this, actually started talking about getting me out of the house at age 13. Bad parenting seems to be a trend in this country that's lasted for a long time.

My brother 50 years old, he says nobody gives him a job and he is a lawyer. 😑 lives in my mom house and doesn’t pay anything, goes everywhere with her.

Look at the sadness on the man's face and eyes, full of guilts. Parents should be more concern about their son's mental health rather than his earning.

The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Narcissistic parents are good at playing the victim and scapegoating. Oh and they don't really want their kids to leave otherwise they get no supply and nobody to blame.

What's not fair is being taken advantage of and then blamed for it!

I bet they're regretting sending him to daycare and refusing to spend time bonding with their son when he was growing up.

People judge what they don’t Understand.
Looking from the outside, it’s easy to say he’s taking advantage, etc.
But, it’s clear there is a Problem.
Just because someone doesn’t make Societal Standards, doesn’t mean he doesn’t have Value or that he won’t amount to Anything.
He’s probably suffering through childhood Trauma.

Of course, this isn’t an ideal situation.
But, instead of judging him, perhaps offer positive solutions.
Judging him will only make matters worst as he already suffers from low self-image…
I Pray he’s doing well and got the Help he Needs to get out on his own!!!
Jesus Loves you!

There are alot of adults living at home with their parents anyway. Its just they dont need to go on some tv show to talk about it.

This guy seems massively depressed, the resentment on both sides really sucks. I hope this guy and his family healed and that he moved on into his adult life.

This is exactly why I do not like seeing adult children living with their parents. They become entitled spoiled brats. 🙄😒
