Developing Autonomous Robot Driving Algorithm in Python and OpenCV

During my first semester Introduction to Competitive Robotics at Central New Mexico Community College we were tasked with developing a autonomous robot to compete in an obstacle course at the National Robotics Competition in 2025.
I focused on the computer vision portion implementing Python and OpenCV on a Raspberry Pi 3 and RedBoard+ Motor Controller for our 4-wheeled robot.
During the course of this project I learned the OpenCV Library's toolbox, implemented these tools onto a raspberry pi portable computer, and developed a self-driving autonomous algorithm for a robot to compete in the National Robotics Competition in 2025.
