Don’t Drink This Tea During Pregnacy

A friend who just got back from Southeast Asia gave me a special tea made from a plant called butterfly pea. I was excited but a bit nervous to try it.

In Southeast Asia, people use butterfly pea as a healing herb, but it's actually not allowed to be used in food in some places.

Not many people know about this, so I made a video to tell you all about it!

Watch the video to learn about the amazing color-changing butterfly pea tea and the magical effects of the butterfly pea flower!

weird. I'm SEA woman. We use this flower for everything because it's refreshing and pretty looking. never heard that it can actually do anything to the body. Are you sure it's not dangerous as in "concentrate it 300x times the amount of usual consumption and then there's an effect" kind of effect? Cuz that's usually what toxicity researches often look like.

in Vietnam, butterfly peas are planted as ornamental plants because of their flowers' beautiful colour, if you go to the countryside, or the Southern Provinces, you may see many people decorate their fence using Butterly pea. In the food industry, they plant a lot in garden and sell them all over my country, it is easy to find a coffee shop that sell this type of tea

Saying that it's dangerous to drink might be a bit much considering the things you have said. Maybe it's not as beneficial (or not at all) as it was claimed in the past but it's not the only product that was considered a miracle cure either. Not being beneficial but not having any harmful effect is good enough for a tea, the benefit is more so in the mind of whoever drinks it, like most teas.

In Malaysia, we call it "Telang" flower. It's tea is insipid, tasteless or lack of flavor. You can mix it with lemon, honey and serve with ice.

Butterfly pea flower tea-doesn’t really have much of a taste, but it’s beautiful. People who drink it as a tea usually add it to other teas. One of my favorite combos with this tea is hibiscus and butterfly pea flower tea. Beautiful and refreshing for summer when iced!

Here in India, u can find Butterfly Pea flower in almost all part of the country except high in the Himalayas. This tree can be a nuisance for a Garden bcoz they spread very fast. Although there is a White Flower variant too which is rare
