DONT BUY NEST YALE LOCK! LOCKED OUT!

Works good until you run out of batteries, then you’re at the mercy of the backup working properly. I called Yale (case P15IQ4) and they said I was on my own.

I know on ours, after you connect the battery terminals the keypad still remains black until you press and hold the Yale logo.

I believe your supposed to wait few seconds after it blinks with battery still in place and press the yale button and it should turn up. Its what i did. Or atleast what happened to me. 😅

I've owned one for 3 years. Never had this issue. Also dont use cheapie batteries, get some duracells. Literally lasted me a year before needing replaced.

Lol did it occur to you to change the polarity of the battery by turning it arround? Also, hold it there, since it need constant power? Had this lock for several years, never had an issue since it gives the low battery warning through the lock and on the app months before it goes dead. Unless it's used a lot then it would be weeks, and being used a lot indicates the warning is ignored a lot as well, I'm the first one to complain about bad designs, but this is clearly a user issue.

Was the locksmith able to open it? So guess what happened to me!! I turned privacy mode on and now my wifi is down and there is no way for me to get in!!! No internet unable to turn off privacy mode!! This is for a second home in colombia 🙈🙈🙈
