This lock is designed for Multipoint locks in particular an Andersen Door. You're probably having issues because of that. Yale makes a smaller Assure that's designed for Cylindrical locks that I use that works amazingly well. I may be wrong but you may need to look into that if you have issue.

I fitted one of these about a year ago to the golf club and on the outside it had buttons to press so we didn't need to give all the members fobs. So we use a quick 4 digit number to enter all the time. It works brilliant with no fuss.

I don't see any comments (nor did it get mentioned in the video) about one huge potential advantage for this type of device - the ability to enable someone to get in via the app, but limit that availability to weeks, days or hours - or to revoke it at any time. It's a whole lot better than leaving a spare key under the doormat.

The app log out is actually just for extra security if you think about it, if you lose your phone or someone steals it they would have access to your home so be grateful that they added that feature

So running on batteries that lasts 6 months is a bad thing? What would the alternative be? Wiring the door to the mains? I agree signing into the app everytime would be annoying, but why say not to buy it because the app isn't good despite talking about using NFC tags to negate the need for the app.

Alex, I agree with your comments on this lock and have been VERY disappointed. I moved from Thailand where I had a Yale digital lock installed by Yale themselves and it was very good indeed. Yale do not provide such good local service here in the U.K. and I had to get a local locksmith to install it. This took two attempts! Not easy at all as some videos on this product suggest. It has worked adequately for several months but now the music it plays on every operation has suddenly changed and it refuses at times to open with the fob or with the key card. Have you noticed any changes to the tones played by the lock recently? The APP works occasionally but not now.
