u need to reinstall that door, thats not yales problem anymore.

I think you have a defective unit. Mine has never done these things. It works perfectly.

It's an installation problem. If the deadbolt gets any interference at all you then you have the lock issue. You need to drill around the area the deadbolt goes in to have no interference and that solves the issue. Happened to mine

I have the Schlage connect, and I’m thinking about upgrading to the Schlage encode. My connect has worked really well for years and looks nice on the outside (can even get matching handles) only downsides, which is why I want to upgrade, is when it automatically locks its a bit loud and the inside is bulky looking. Both of those complaints are fixed with the encode. If anyone is looking for a working smart lock, maybe look into that 😊

the only problem i had was.. it had hard time connecting with nest connect. but mine is located on my garage door which has multiple drywalls, but my front door is fine.

You need to forget and delete the connect and lock, then reinstall both of them within the nest app

I tried quickset kevo 2 which was AMAZING for 2 weeks, absolutely loved it, Bluetooth enabled.... Just touch it and it opens when you have your phone and the app open., key backup if needed... Then 2 weeks later SAME thing, went offline. So disappointed. I thought maybe the nest x would be better... Maybe the latest version has less bugs? Did your router go offline?
