Pre download streamed assets is a great setting it actually reduces delay. Because instead of streaming skins and backblings etc it downloads them on your Fortnite so it doesn’t have delay.

I personaly would turn on "download streamed assets" in the epic games launcher as it pre downloads the charactet assets instead of doing it as you are playing, reducing your delay
