Randyl would have never betrayed the tyrells due to the fact and in his words "dont stab our rivals in the back" they are loyal to the reach and not the lannisters or the realm, not only that cersei murdered margaery, his liege lord and the only tyrell male heir it seems despite being two other brothers too.

The wysest decision for randyll were stay neutral in the war. Not supporting a murderer like cersei and not even a mad queen with sevages at her back.

Imagine how secure would the Lannisters be if it were not for Cersei. I know Littlefinger was purposely spreading chaos, but Cersei's viciousness and shortsight helped him immensely. Imagine for a moment that Cersei does not exist, she died of plague or something. Jaime and Kevan Lannister hold mutually beneficial truce with the Tyrells, young Dornish prince is sitting on the Small Council, no one bombs the Sept of Baelor, there is no Faith Militant, Euron Greyjoy has no allies...
