Only people with rosacea understands how painful the condition can be especially ocular rosacea. This condition ruins your quality of life.

So there are people out there who will actually approach total strangers just to ask then ‘what the hell is wrong with their face’… I can’t get over how incredibly rude that is.

I hate rosacea so much, it’s literally life-ruining and not enough research is going into figuring out the root cause. So frustrating! Ocular rosacea is particularly horrible to live with. 😢 I absolutely relate to her pain.

It must be very painful emotionally and physically. When I looked at her I actually thought she was just blushing and it fitted her hair, I found it lovely. I hope she's feeling better.

I used to consider ending my life over this condition. I’m fine now but if you don’t have it you really will never be able to imagine how much it affects our lives

Not a spec of makeup and she is still stunning. Hope she managed to get some relief from this condition.

I know the pain of rosacea, the thinking all anyone sees is the redness and the physical pain too. I've had it for 20+years & have been on antibiotics for years, tried all the creams & skin care routines and had two types of laser treatment. It's been manageable but with having to wear a mask so much it has flared up on my chin (my worst area always) & nose. Obvs it is better than the alternative but still saddens me, esp as masks also affect any make-up I use to cover it. My heart goes out to Emma & I'm glad she's found a great dermatologist to help her ❤ Good luck sweet lady❤

Out of the blue I started to get rosacea on my face. I had to deal with Rosacea on the face that was progressively getting worse, for roughly 3 years before I finally had the ahaa moment. It was really frustrating and hard to go through during those few years. I couldn't for the life of me figure out why I had it. Turns out I was shaving too much, which I hadn't changed my shaving routine for decades, so I didn't automatically jump to this being the issue. Out of the blue it started irritating my skin and triggering all the spots. I stopped shaving so often and when I do shave, I'm extremely gentle with it. I also changed up all the products I use and only use products that have a much lower chance of irritating the skin. I use sunscreen religiously now, moisturizers, etc... Took about 6 months and it's all but gone for the most part, 99%. Once I stopped shaving, that was the key. After this experience I'm so much more knowledgeable about keeping healthy skin and will continue to practice healthy habits for the rest of my days.

If you have rosacea, don't lose hope! At one point I lost hope, and was depressed for a bit, and I was just starting to accept my new fate and not care, but that's when I found my trigger. Just know rosacea is usually triggered by something that irritates it. It could be literally anything. Certain allergies, sun, topical products, shaving, scrubbing your face too hard, certain foods, washing your face too much, a combination of a few things, idk the sky is the limit. There's nothing easy about it, but stay persistent and keep striving towards having healthier skin, regardless of what it might look like. Little steps towards bettering yourself and your skin is success, regardless of the outcome. I learned a lot about myself during this time and grew as a person. I wish everyone the best of luck in their journey.

She's beautiful. I wish she felt more confident about herself. I hope she gets some help with her skin so she realizes she's gorgeous and she doesn't need to hide herself

I started getting flare ups with bumps about 5yrs ago. Only thing that ever got it under control was 15% azelaic acid and Avene tolerance line. 👌🏻👌🏻

I think looking back, I’ve always been rosy and probably had rosacea my entire life. As I got older it became more and more apparent. My parents never cared to teach me about sunscreen and I wish they had said so. My face flushes and feels super hot after being in the sun, after a chilled wind hit my face, if the AC in a car is too strong, after a brisk walk or any exercise…and of course it also looks bright red and inflamed. Sometimes it looks like acne ask over my cheeks and nose with small pustules and bumps. I’ve been trying all kinds of topical treatments 😞 I would be happy if just wasn’t so sensitive. I could deal with the appearance if I could just take a regular shower and be able to let the water splash my face without it causing so much sensitivity and discomfort or flooding with heat.

I am a well-controlled Rocacea patient. My regimen is an old-fashioned MetroGel and tetracycline family antibiotic . I need less of the antibiotic as I age and rarely in the winter now. I use fragrance and irritant free skin care and cosmetics. My skin care is from Paula’s Choice. My triggers are heat and sunlight and I do avoid both.

I have a case of this was worse when I was younger. I’d say put oatmeal driven products on the face along with lactose acid which calms the skin and will make her feel more comfortable. Wear sunblock always going outside.

Caffeine is my biggest trigger. The effect is not immediate like heat or wine or spicy food, but giving up caffeine made a huge difference after a few days. Beyond that, I have laser treatments every six to twelve months to keep it in check and am very careful about products, and staying out of the sun and heat. It’s a curse, because ongoing laser is a big expense and quite painful. I have found that an anti-inflammatory diet also helps
