Do you like the original patina retained, or would’ve you had the entire ring polished?

wearing a wedding band for so long that it’s worn thin and pliable is one of the most beautiful things i’ve ever seen

That's a really neat way of doing things when there is hardly any of the original material left.

I dont think I've ever seen a ring worn out so thin.

To see you were able to keep it in spite of it's incredible amount of wear, is amazing.

Never thought about scratches on a ring as memories. Depression sure casts a dark cloud over one's life. Appreciating the beauty in life is so good for you.

This is the absolute best way of strengthening this ring and making sure it still looks like the original ring. There’s no question about it being the same ring to anyone looking at it, and maintains the sentimental significance.

I love that you didn’t buff out the scratches. Those blemishes tell a story of two people in love, all the ups and downs. It’s beautiful that you recognize that.

Love the original scratches from life. Can you alter a ring for arthritis that opens? 42 years and arthritis has hit hard.

I love that you kept all the scratches. They remind us that love isn't always easy, sometimes you'll take some damages, but even so, love is still beautiful.

I'm glad you appreciate the worn out things too. I dont try to keep my things looking new; I take care of them, yes, but I'm not afraid to use them. Because when they're used, theyre even more beautiful.

I love this! My husband got a ring for me for our 35th wedding anniversary. I lost 130 pounds so naturally it was too big. However, my original wedding band, that now fits me fits snugly and perfectly in the middle of the new ring. We had the OG band soldered inside the new ring and I love it! It’s a very unique looking ring of rose gold over yellow gold and has an amazing meaning!!

This hit me…I’ve been with my wife for four years and I would cherish the day I could see this for my own ring. ❤

It would never have even occurred to me to retain that patina. I would then invite you to every anniversary get-together for life, bud. You're family for that.
