This video is a compilation of the snow piercing madness from the video "Stormy Conditions on the mountain pass".

Behold the Norwegian railroad engineer's excellence in getting the train through and for keeping the mountain pass open for traffic.

The conditions on the Bergen Line can be very challenging. When the roads are closed the train continues to operate as if it was normal service as usual.

The weather on the mountain pass can be very unforgiving.

It puts all other European railroad systems to shame!

I am really impressed at how well your rail lines keep their tracks clear in such heavy snow. I see the switches have heaters and such but every station looks to be kept as cleared of snow as possible. Certainly can tell you all are used to the winter season!

It also has to be said that Norwegian railroad windscreen wipers are apparently really serious pieces of equipment that function until they can't, and then restart without breaking

WOW, that is (at times) deeply unsettling - to lose vision through the windscreen when travelling at speed. You have my sincere admiration for having the skill, knowledge and experience to cope with driving the train under those conditions.

It amazes me how you keep going through such bad snowfall, Everything her in Uk Stops when it gets really heavy snow. maybe they need to come and see how you do it. Really loved it

I love it, and I love the looks of people when you arrive at a station and everything is white in the front, where it should be bright red. The biggest advandage of driving by signals is no need to worry about sight for short times. To this day, my own mother cannot understand how I am daring to drive through thick fog at 160km/h and not worry about anything :D

It'd be great to see an external view of the head of the engine plowing through those snow drifts, maybe set up at a crossing on tripod. I bet it would be fantastic to see the snow flowing up and over the front. Love the winter time videos....

I imagine that the RR keeps the snow plows busy this time of year and then comes another train plowing it all again! Do you hold your breath when that stuff flies up and blocks your view? Very impressive!!!
