The dialogue itself and the way it was delivered is so early 2000’s action movies.

a live-action version of aeon flux was always going to face an uphill battle on its path to acclaim simply because the animated version did far, far too much that was simply incapable of translation to live-action. the animated version was perfection, and in my opinion, there was never any possible way a live-action version would either equal or surpass the original.
