If you ask me this question i would say sony xm-5.Because idont have an iphone.most of the apple products features are only available for iphone. sony would work same with any device

I bought the XM5 1000, no complaints. If I used apple devices; the airpods max would have been the clear choice.

Yes price & comfort may be better, but the people want performance, & nothing comes close to the AirPod Max, better sound quality with 3 different sound modes, standard, Spatial Audio, & head track Spatial Audio, with the best noise cancellation & transparency mode on the market. The price is not justified but they are really really good!
