I have owned both PS4 Pro and Slim before. I had my slim first then the pro. I was suprised how much noise and heat the PS4 Pro is creating and wondered if I have purchased a defective unit. It was explained that it was like that. It's odd that I don't experience that with PS4 Slim. Even playing non stop.

I am on a pretty tight budget and am always conscious of how much power my devices use. I want to buy a PS4 to do some cheap gaming and I know that the PS4 Slim has a much lower maximum wattage output than a PS4 Pro but what I want to know is does the PS4 Pro only use the extra wattage when it's running higher resolution on a 4K tv? Also if I were to use it on a 4K tv is there an option to turn down the resolution to 1080P and if so will this only use the same wattage as a PS4 Slim? Last question is this: Is it also worth paying £200 more for a PS4 Pro just for the higher resolution?

I had to buy PS4 slim 2 times on the two year mark and I Cleaned it every 3 months and nothing was wrong with it so now I just bought a pro instead

Youre playing on a 4K tv with HDR and optimal video settings turned on the Pro right? Because on the video i heard you say youre testing both on a 1080p tv... That resolution cant even process games in 4K rendering it useless for a pro. Also what 4K display do you play on for the 4k display you mentioned? HDR and dolby vision makes a huge difference not to mention if your 4k puts out 120hz refresh rate. I could keep going but yeah

This is dumb! The PS4 Slim is for people on a budget while the PS4 Pro is for ones who really thinks graphics, resolution and performance matters the most.

Dude how you say that, there are some areas in red dead 2 and ac odyssey that has fps drops on slim and fat while ps4 pro with boost mode doesn't get us to experience fps dropping in crowed area

Maybe because of the temperature since you are putting the PS4 Slim on the PS4 Pro and also maybe the game in enhanced on PS4 Pro
and if your recording resolution on PS4 Pro is 1080p then decrease it to 720p because the PS4 is already at 720p
