I have a pretty good gaming rig which also takes care of all my editing needs.I do all my gaming on that PC, when I wanted to do some couch gaming I have a PS4 slim. I mostly play exclusives on it. Totally worth it!

You missed the most important thing! The Slim has a quite fan! I bought a Pro and most games made my Pro sound like a jet engine so I downgraded to a Slim. Pro isn't worth it imho.

The pro was an upgrade to play VR, 4K is just a benefit.

For PS4 exclusives I have a PS4 slim.
For 4k gaming I have an Xbox one X. I think that is the best option. Instead of Pro.
Unless that you have a 4k TV, you don't have a PS4 already, and you just want to play sony exclusives at slightly better graphics.

I'm getting the pro and i have a 4K TV and i want to play RE4R with sharper image quality and smoother framerates. I do have a slim and i play RE4R on that but the frame drops are crap sometimes. I watched a video here on RE4R PS4 versions comparison and too be honest, the framerate and resolution mode on the pro doesn't look much different. I will noticed a difference from the slim to the pro and test both modes on the pro. I probably will stick with the resolution mode just to play RE4R at 2160p at 30 FPS with sharper image and clarity then the 1080p slim i play on. I also wanna take higher image screenshots of Leon Kennedy on the pro.

Forgot to mention that Ps4 slim doesn’t have an optical audio port. Which for me is a big deal when considering game headsets.

I am on a pretty tight budget and am always conscious of how much power my devices use. I want to buy a PS4 to do some cheap gaming and I know that the PS4 Slim has a much lower maximum wattage output than a PS4 Pro but what I want to know is does the PS4 Pro only use the extra wattage when it's running higher resolution on a 4K tv? Also if I were to use it on a 4K tv is there an option to turn down the resolution to 1080P and if so will this only use the same wattage as a PS4 Slim? Last question is this: Is it also worth paying £200 more for a PS4 Pro just for the higher resolution?
