Moving in together! In today’s video, we give relationship advice and dive deep into the reasons why Michael and I moved in together before marriage. So, should you move in with your partner before getting married? This is a personal question and the answer is going to differ based on so many factors. *NOTE: If moving in with your significant other before marriage goes against your culture or religious views, that is totally okay and this video just isn't for you!

But for people who WANT to move in with their boyfriend, girlfriend or fiancé before they tie the knot, here are all the reasons why Michael and I found it helpful for our relationship. Michael and I have been together for 10 years! We are high school sweethearts and were in a long distance relationship throughout college.

Moving in together is a BIG deal and a huge step for any couple, but we truly felt it helped us iron out many of our 'kinks' before the wedding, which then allowed us to enjoy married life so much more post-wedding. Living together, in general, has been such a blast… like a slumber party every night. We continue to learn how to have a healthy relationship every day! Living together before marriage was the right move for us, and from experience, our relationship advice is to do the same to avoid relationship problems after the big event!

As a European it is a bit of a strange notion to not live with your partner before getting married. Of course some don't live togheter for religious reasons or long distance, but it's more the norm to live together before making such a huge commitment.

Great video as always! I moved in with my fiancé after he proposed, I was calmer knowing we were engaged and planning to get married before moving in. I think it's important to have a clear understanding of where the relationship is headed and feel a certain commitment before choosing to share a space together. Some people think of living together as a "trial" run, and it can feel that way if you both haven't established where the relationship is headed and if you're not on the same page. Some don't mind though, so it's an interesting topic!

Thank you for starting this video showing respect to the people who's culture or religion does not adhere to moving in together before marriage. My coworkers are always astonished that because of religious reasons none of my closest friends lived with their SO before marriage. And I also plan on not living with my future SO before we get married.

I could not agree more! My relationship is on an eerily similar path as both of you and we moved in together in August. Dating for 6 years before that makes you feel like you know it all but you don't!! So fun to have firsts again! Plus that NYC rent is WILD so saving was amazing! Love this video!

Privacy needs are definitely something to talk about. My 😍 Michael and I are very very different when it comes to privacy. I like quiet time. I NEED quiet time. He would rather chat. It took us awhile, and it took some hurt feelings but we found our happy medium. He’s very respectful of my quiet time and I’m more likely to shut my book, or iPad and just chat with him or catch up on stuff or just be. I do better by myself so it was hard for me at first. But now I enjoy our time chatting as much as I do our down time, which we usually do together now. We’ve been married 11 years now (2nd marriage for both of us) and we are doing amazing. My husband has cancer (advanced) so we take every moment we can just to be together. #lovetheoneyourewith
