In this video I will show you how to hook up a Mean Well RS-100-24 power supply to a Sure Amplifier AA-AB32178. After we hook it up, we will show you how to regulate it to 100 watts for the board. This particular setup will be the one I use when I hook up my bass shakers to get full power to them.

Thanks to you, I have connected my Mean Well RS-200-5 correctly and learned what "L" and "N" (Load and Neutral) meant. Thank you!

Clockwise goes up, and Counter-Clockwise goes down. Think of it like a clock. Thanks for teaching me something!

I wish you went a bit further with this and hooked up the audio. I'm curious if that switching PSU had any noise issues that you could hear in the signal once you had the speakers hooked up. I'm thinking about using one of those PSU's on a vacuum tube mic preamp I'm building. The guy who designed the preamp actually designed it with a switching PSU in mind, and he has some high frequency filtering in the design, but I think he intended the PSU to be external. I'm going to be racking up TWO of his PCBs into a 2U rack box with the PSU in the rack box.

I was looking at this supply as an option for a bipolar power supply to power a few projects that require from - & + 5V to - & + 12V as well as ground.
Why are you using the -V output for ground as opposed to the ground terminal for ground?
If you're getting 24V on your multimeter when measuring the output voltage with the black test lead connected to -V and the red test lead connected to +V, what do you get if you move your black test lead to the ground terminal?

, this is great. most manufacturers of ALL class d and class T amps usually provide power supplies that are ( HALF ) of what the amp needs or amp " Board
SMSL and Micca are the only companies that I have found that provide the proper power supplies.

Great description. It served as a review and a reminder of who is who with the wires. Thanks a lot. ;-)

If I'm going to use ring terminals, what stud size would fit to put on the screw terminals of the power supply? Will the #8 Stud work fine?

Wouldn't it be better to connect the V- to GND as well using the 'Star' principle?

I've watched several videos on how to hook-up a power supply like this. In one video, they had a jumper between the Ground and V-. It was never explained why this was done. Could you explain why such a jumper might be used? Thanks.

Man what an amazingly clear description...pure Brilliance in delivery of information. Hats off to you for this . However what was the plug that you used on this ? Is it a 3 pin plug or the normal 2pin plug that goes into the mains ?
