I compeltely get that viltrumites are supposed to be ridiculously strong and tough, but if most of them can travel at the speed of light, and some can go faster than that, then we're all royally screwed 😅

There's so much misinformation being spread about Invincible. The average adult viltrimite (especially at the time of the story) can fly far faster than light. The databook goes into great detail about it, wished the video would mention it. They can reach speeds that warp space-time and cause them to "jump" through space like in Star Wars or Halo. That's how Nolan flew billions of lightyears in 1 week.

I think Viltrumite's supposed FTL speed is more of a plot device than an actual ability. In fights, Nolan couldn't react to a Cecil's teleporter controlled by a human and Donald's shotty, Mark couldn't react to Angstrom's portals etc. They also never really fly beyond supersonic in fights.

Maybe there are hyper lanes that are really easy to access outside of each solar system that enable Viltrumites (and others) to go FTL. Trying to explain it as just a regular feat (instead of a hack) makes them way more powerful than they are portrayed. Yes I know they are portrayed as really powerful, FTL makes them insanely tough
