Better Than Linux Mint! – Tuxedo OS 2 | Pulse 15 Gen2 Laptop

A quick video covering my first 60-days of utilizing the Pulse15 Gen2 Laptop and Tuxedo OS 2. It is an all around great OS that makes everything from content creation, photo editing, video production and overall use as easy as 1,2,3. Take a look and let me know what you think in the comment below.

WOW another great video. Yes I have Tuxedo running on my favorite "tuned" Lenovo T480s runing . It's great. And I feel it's easier for the "New Linux Friends "too. Give it a try.
Yes I am running MACOS and Windows due to my working Business but I am using Linux as well. Thumbs Up and more of these and as usual Greetings to the Community from Germany

Haven't seen your stuff in a while-- been using NEPTUNE 8-(based on debian 12- and love it)..and Spartky as backup... BUT now I'm on DEBIAN 12 direct and it's great- but knowing you and your work- I WILL give this a shot... THANKS..

IDK if you’ve already done a video on this, but if you haven’t, I’d love to see you do a walkthrough guide of exactly how you recommend people do virtual machines to try out different distros. As a new user looking to try out different things, that would be super helpful.

Tuxedo os works like a charm on tuxedo laptops and same based hardware based on clevo bare bones laptops(erazer p10, p25, p30...)found at Aldi.
All works out of the box in them like fan control, RGB control of the keyboard etc etc.

Yes, I am now since 10 weeks new to the linux world. On my work machine I installed Linux Mint 21, it never failed me. On my test notebook i tried about 15 different Linux like BIG, TITAN, Garuda, Manjaro und Ubuntu. I liked Linux Mint 21 the most. I continue with Linux Mint 21, a great system for beginners.

Linux only has to reboot on Kernel updates.

If/when ordering a laptop from Star Labs, they offer not to put a distro on it. In your opinion, would this be the way to go and install Tuxedo OS2 in place of any distro they have to offer?

This looks a lot like KDE Neon, and I just can't get Neon to look as clean as Mint. Dolphin looks dated in this video with the lines and 3D embellishments. I found Neon to be basically impossible to customize color themes and the taskbar. Of course, you can download theme packages, but the choices are very limited. For example, you can't get rid of that borderline around the files area in Dolphin. My Mint install look much cleaner and the settings are much better organized.

I i like the new theme but could you make it dark mode?

I wanna switch to Tuxedo OS only two reason that block me what are BTRFS auto snapshots and speed of OS.

Tuxedo runs great on my Dell e6440, 12 year old laptop. Another nearly identical Dell with different video card will not run at all. Strange! God Bless,

You said it's great yes that I wanted to hear but you didn't mentioned how it's different from other linux distribution

KDE's Night color setting is better than Mint's
I would look also on Feren OS (KDE) / Kubuntu (KDE)

I downloaded it a little while ago when OS2 hit, but haven't got around to trying it out yet. Nobara's been running pretty good for me ATM.

Apple and their repairs are a joke. My daughter did an update on her iPhone 12 recently that basically bricked it. Apple admitted that it was a bad update, however threw their arms up and said there was nothing they could do about it. Pretty piss poor service if you ask me.

Dropped Apple by 2015 bcs of repair issues and
proprietary file formats;
gonna drop Samsung as well bcs of programmed obsolescence and battery issues ...
and ever changing legal agreements and data trust issues.
Switching to a Linux phone with open market battery.

Likely removing Mint and Pop OS for Tux OS 2 on the pc, but
keeping Ubuntu Gnome for now bcs,
though messy, it's got every gritty detail installed after a couple of years of use.
