A registered practical nurse died on Saturday after contracting COVID-19. The nurse worked at Trillium Health Partners for the last 13 years and most recently at the Mississauga Hospital, and was studying to become a registered nurse.

"Our colleague was a stellar, hard-working nurse who had a passion for nursing and making a difference," a statement to Global News from Trillium Health Partners said.

Catherine McDonald has more.

Tragic.

Yet no reporting of 16 year olds offing themselves from lockdown induced depression. Wouldn't want to talk about that.

We require more context to this story please. As a healthcare worker, was this woman already vaccinated? If so, which vaccine was used. Was she a smoker, or was one in the past? Did she have any medical or genetic pre-conditions such as respiratory ailments or was she susceptible to pneumonia. Any history of cancer or leukemia? Simply telling us that she was a nurse doesn't tell the whole story...but it sure puts another brick in the "wall of fear" that the media and governments keep building and that is why this story is being told.

Of the thousands of people who have died from complications of the virus, how many of them have we heard their stories? People die everyday, it's tragic, but it happens every day, and has happened LONG before Covid 19. Kids die in hospital daily across Canada and the world. Some kids go through hell and back with incurable ailments. It's not fair, but it is life! The most inconvenient truth of life is that death is inevitable for all of us. You may find this heartless, but I've lost tons of loved ones in my life, people that I would have given my life to save, but as a human being, you have to come to terms with the fact that we're not here forever, and we should all make the most of the time we have.

And that doesn't include living our lives in fear or in an endless cycle of lost freedoms and basic human rights!

How do they not know if she was vaccinated fully. This is problematic in so many ways. RIP.

If they're not telling us if she was or wasn't vaccinated, likely means she was
