Great video! There's some important factors to consider when you buy and host your car. I've been on Turo for 3 years, 450 trips, 5.0 stars and have scaled to 7 vehicles. If I had to redo it I’d have a completely different strategy for success. My economy cars do the best now.

Nice video and congrats! I’ve got about 10 months and 120 trips under my belt… By no means am I an expert yet but I recommend you changing to commercial insurance. You’ll save at least $30 per month, have the option to rent outside of Turo, and have data such as stratified risk based on the renters driving record in determining how much you want to charge them for insurance during their booking or not rent to them at all. More control and more profit😊

I use myTrailer to rent out trailers, and it’s been a great experience. Purchasing an affordable trailer and turning it into an income-generating asset is a smart move. The rental income compared to the trailer's cost can be quite favorable, especially when compared to a car or house.

Very helpful video. I like working on cars and have bought and sold a handful over the years. Pretty confident I can get a good reliable car that I can maintain myself very below market cost so I’m thinking of starting Turo with some of my extra cars. I have 5 right now and don’t really need that many but they are good and I don’t really care if they get beat up because if it’s covered I can repair cars easily.

Oh yeah Turo is fun. I'm thinking about grabbing a Porsche or Tesla next for Turo

One thing tho with the insurance there is a deductible depending on which insurance plan you take. The insurance plans are no money out of your pocket they take money from your earnings.

For example if do the 60 plan where you take 60% of profit and Turo takes 40% of your earnings then there's no deductible and they cover everything.

The 75 plan that I use is a $250 deductible but of course I take more profit than the 60 plan

Problem will be with the new IRS reporting if $600 or more is deposited to PayPal, Venmo, etc. Can liability be avoided by forming an LLC? Can commercially available Insurance be used instead of Turo provided Insurance? 40% gross insurance fee is being picked out of your pocket instead of the customer’s pocket! Thanks
