The first time I had no helmet, no knee pads or elbow pads, and rental skates but I learned how to skate just fine

Ok so here is a tip I went ice skating for the first time today honestly it is not hard with rental skates they were really nice also the people gave a penguin to all the beginners it’s very slippery but it’s so fun I just glided but it hurts a lot if you fall on your bottom also if you are scared of falling (like me) I suggest trying to walk around a bit bit until you get some support the support makes you skate within 10 minutes for me but it’s not for everyone also your feet will ache after and it’s easy to walk on solid ground with the blades I hope this helps
Also keep some gloves and something warm cuz it’s a bit cold

Not a bad video on itself but honestly if you are worried about tripping you should at least those first times stick to rentals. There is no purpose on buying skates and have them sharpened if you are coming back once or twice a year
