You’re the 1st that I’ve ever seen to break down the cost of building a home. Thank you!

The lot alone in California would set you back about 300k.

Back in 2007, during my time working in real estate, I witnessed people purchasing newly built homes from builders with the plan to sell them before the closing of escrow to another buyer for a profit. The crash hit hard and fast, and I vividly recall many of these units ending up foreclosed upon, with the builder's plastic still covering the carpets.

Bro saved 220k cash because he’s never wasted a single second of his life without getting STRAIGHT to the point 🤣

That must have taken a lot of coordination to pull off in 77 days. Between permits, inspection, acquiring the materials, and labor.

I think what surprised me the most was the concrete slab costing $26k

This is a beautiful home. Love the entire structure outside and inside. Great construction job.

The most incredible thing about that house is that it only took 77days to build.

Never ever thought of buying or building a house, but god damn I never knew much certain things cost. That paveway was 11000, that's mad.

Been a general for 25 years and built countless custom homes. I call bull shit!

I’m building in northern CA. I won’t go into detail, but the permit was $75k, the electric and gas connections ran close to $15k, solar and fire sprinklers are required (that will run you $20k) a sewer connection prob $10k and you won’t get a lot anywhere you’d want to invest in for under $200k (there are a few exceptions).
So before you even draw up plans you are typically going to be in about $300k out here

Thanks for sharing costs. Most people just show and don't tell.

How about electrical, plumbing, cabinets, countertops, bathroom showers/tubs/fixtures, vanities, interior doors, window casing, window and door trim, baseboard, interior lighting, drywall, floor finishing, painting? So at least double what you claim you built this for.

Thank you for being open and honest about money and what things actually cost.

Framing was 17k? I was quoted 43k for framing only on an attached garage addition. I need homey pricing like you.
