Tony, several times you have quoted Chinese academics who clearly have an independent view of the World. It is tragic that Xi does not seem to hear these, and certainly does not take any account of them. Interesting that Putin was described as being in a cocoon.

Talk about doublespeak: "Putin is trapped in an information cocoon?" Ask Zeihan about that example of the pot calling the kettle black. Moreover, the words of Feng Yujun offer a legion of interpretations, including the notion that when Russia finally collapses due to the war in Ukraine, then China can make its move into Kamchatka and points north of there.
