Bought my 2006 WRX for $7k. Had a EJ257 and a 6 speed already swapped in. Building the short block with forged internals. Add a bigger turbo and some e85 and she’ll slay some tires.

Gotta love the IS300 😌 the best car that I used the most in the OG Need For Speed Most Wanted 2005 😆

There are vital changes inside a 2JZ-GTE vs. a 2JZ-GE that doesn't make the two a worthwhile comparison when you're boosting the 2JZ-GE with a turbo. Plus, IS300s, along with GS300s and SC300s aren't so cheap anymore.

I’m surprised that the 24 valve Cummins doesn’t get mentioned more when make power is the topic.

A friend of mine has a Volkswagen golf Mark 4 with a VR6 AWD that thing makes 1, 200 horsepower it's like driving a rocket ship you have to hold on for dear life 0 to 100 km in just 2 seconds

Im taking a G37 or Q50. But the IS300 is the obvious choice.

you're gonna need more than a turbo to make it a "rocket ship" lol
and also the IS300 has a 2J so parts are gonna be pretty expensive because of the "2J tax"

The underrated MazdaSpeed 6 may be good option. Powered by a 2.3 turbo engine, they come with 260 hp. Talking about reliability, they have common problems at rear TransAxle but, you can find aftermarket parts that can actually be more reliable than factory parts 😂. I honestly can say MazdaSpeed 6 can be compared with the V6 Audi S4 (don't know who would win in a drag race)
You can find well maintained Speed 6's between 5k-6k

Cadillac ats 2.0t 272 hp 260/295tq depending on year it is super slept on car. 51/49 weight distribution. Can get manual with lsd. Car can make 450 Hp on e85 pretty easy. Or get the v6 321/335hp depending on year and get overkill supercharger and make 500hp.

ya'll should look into Volvo Turbos, especially those with Redblock engines. They basically last forever, and can be made to make huge reliable power for not a lot of money

In my country the "cheap" cars that I'm interested in tuning are the ford focus, gol or golf (I'm not sure which to get) or an escort xr3, are these cars tune friendly? Or should I go for something else to avoid problems

I can't wait to come back to all the videos I saved from your channel when I buy my first car.

Minis are cautious picks as they come with all sorts of different engines, namely Chrysler Tritec, Peugeot Prince and BMW B38 and B48 motors. The one with the Eaton supercharger and intercooler use Chrysler Tritec motors. If you want to tune one would you prefer the ones with the B38 and B48 motors, which are 3 and 4 cylinder versions of the B58 motor on the Supra Mk. V? But the ones with the BMW motors only start to appear from 2014 since.

If someone wants to buy a golf, the best option is the mk5 bc you have 2.0l engine and if you want to have a good traction you can just buy the awd system from an audi s3 8p and just bolt it into that golf

i'd cross of the mini & audi for reliability issues and go with the lexus IS for the 2jz and handling or maybe the impreza

Just bare in mind the IS300 2J VVTI have the weaker rods and is limited compared to the 2J non VVTI and GTE motors.
The non VVTI 2J's have the same rods / crank as the highly sought after 2JZGTE found in the Turbo Supra. Ideal for performance if you're on a budget!

Got a 13’ lincoln mks ecoboost for 14k 3 years ago.

Its a taurus SHO, which was already a sleeper with two turbos strapped to its v6 AWD platform. Even more so in the lincoln form, with much better/quieter interior. Mines tuned with a few hundred dollars in mods putting down 400hp.

Best part of the 3.5 ecoboost is drivability tho, lightly press the pedal and she glides off like a quiet v6 getting v6 milage, but if you punch the gas, it feels like 2 cylinders (minus the sound) have been unlocked, and it takes off like a big NA V8, tons of fun. Way too overlooked.
