I'm surprised they didn't talk of Apple's branding and perception by people as a status symbol. For some reason alot of people bought into this idea and is their major pulling power for me.

If Google really wants to compete with Apple, they can make their Google services exclusive. Just like how Apple makes iCloud mail exclusive to iPhones and Safari exclusive to Apple. Google can say, starting January 1, 2021, we are removing all Google services from iPhones and making them exclusive to Androids and Google phones. This would create a huge split between Apple and Google. So many students use Google Classroom and Google Meet for School, they would need Android or Google phones to use them. Think about it. It would cause drastic change amongst U.S. phone distribution.

I use iPhone because I’m familiar with it. Still on an old 8. I don’t care what anyone else is using, nor care for the newest gadgets. I got bigger things to worry about, and this thing gets the job done.

I think this is being looked at a small scale.
Globally, Apple is not widely used. US are the main buyers. Look into other brands like Samsung and LG that's bought out world wide. US is a strong market but not the only one..

When I came to US first time I was really surprised that people were still using sms and imessage was an important thing. Before coming here, I might not have texted someone in the past 10 years. It's really weird how some tech has divided around the world

Apple products are strong and dependable. I have a used 6s plus and I recently bought an iPad 7 for my kid’s online school. All my other Android products have either become obsolete or malfunctioned within 2 years of use. These products keep on going. That’s why I buy them. Used or on sale of course 😅

I buy a phone based on early cost. My IPhone 6S is still going 6 years after purchase. Droid was not giving me even three years back then. My next phone purchase will probably not be an IPhone because my wife has a $179 dollar droid that outperforms my phone with no issues.

I wouldn't say having an iPhone is a status symbol. A status symbol is something that sets you apart from everybody else. When everybody else you come into contact with has the same phone you do you're not above anybody. What I really don't get are the people who have to have the newest iPhone that comes out. It could have the exact same features on the phone they currently have but because it went up a number they MUST have it.

You can like any messages on android as well. Just because he doesn't have an android doesn't mean the "like" option is not there.

All you have to do is press and hold the message you want to like ..

What I got from this video was that it’s hard to switch because Apple has very good quality products that work very well together. And this is exactly what iPhone users tell Android users all the time. But they still don’t get that apples just makes good stuff that work good together.

I got the 5s in 2014 and the se in 2017. Still using the se with less than $1000 spent on phones in the last 6-7 years

I never understood what's the iMessege craze, and I'm a former apple user. I used to send normal text messeges but usually talking on whatsapp /other social media, like any other people I know. Also do people use facetime? Never used it even when I had the iphone lol. Everyone I know used skype, zoom, facebook video... I'm from Eastern Europe, living in Dubai now.

It was hard and expensive to get out of Apple ecosystem, but I glad I did. Now I feel like a free men. I update my phone once a 2 years, I have very powerful machine for twice less and much more. Hate apple business style.
