Really appreciate the advice. Tore my calf muscle skiing. Fell to avoid two snowboarders that crashed into each other. I heard a big pop in my calf. Yikes it’s been 4 days. Progressively feeling better but these guys really know their business.

Thank you, guys! I pulled my calf muscle almost a week ago and have been babying it since. 20 seconds of your suggested transverse massage made it feel immediately better. Y'all DESERVE to ve be the most famous physical therapist on the internet in MY opinion. I am immensely grateful to youse!

I don’t know what I’d do without you guys. In the last couple of years (age 45-46) I’ve been plagued with injuries you’ve helped me through. Including, golfers elbow, knee pain, Achilles’ tendon tear. Thank you so much. Love you guys.

I absolutely love you guys. I'm a massage therapist and I find all of your videos really helpful. I can help my clients with treatment, then direct them to watch your channel to understand their injury more.
Thank you.

Got injured 3 weeks ago. Stretched loads (now realise it's a massive mistake). Went for a sports massage which helped, went for a slow gentle run after 10 days and felt it go again after a mile. Will try the gentle massage & rest again. Hate not being able to be active though 😥🤕🤬

I just want you guys to know how grateful I am for you guys. I am 22yr old female and I have had an upper calf tear for 1 1/2 years (from Sept 2021-June 2023). I felt pain every single day and tried EVERYTHING to take the pain away and try to heal it! I tried icing it every single day for almost a year, gaining several ice burns because I over iced, and was desperate to do whatever I could to heal. Then finally I went to a doctor where I found out it was a calf tear, and I was given about 20 exercises to do every single day that I believe re-aggravated for calf over and over again. The doctor also prescribed me to take ibuprofen for pain and inflammation, but never told me how many milkshake or how often to take it. I didn’t want to gain a dependency on ibuprofen, so I just dealt with the pain. Never told how often to ice or what that was even for. Then about 6 months ago, I discovered a calf sleeve designed to keep the muscle warm. I noticed that when my muscle was warm, I didn’t feel any pain. Since I had little to no pain, I thought it was actually healing, so I was wearing the calf sleeve almost 24/7. Then a family member made the suggestion that I should at least take it off when I’m sleeping because that much compression wouldn’t allow it to heal. Then I went back to icing, but instead used an ice bucket and thought I was seeing tons of improvement. Then I almost gave up and just thought this was hopeless and that I’d have a torn calf forever. I’m a spiritual person and decided I’d ask God for help, so I asked Him to guide me to anyone or anything that could help me heal, and I got an impression to look up my injury on YouTube to see what others have done to heal their own calf injuries. After a few of those videos and gaining lots of knowledge, I came across these guys and it was like all the pieces came together! I had lots of the right ideas, but not the correct execution. And they also gave me other ideas I haven’t tried before! So thank you so much, you’ve made my fitness dreams possible again!!!❤🎉😊

I have been plagued with calf muscle cramping for 5 years and never heard of cross fiber massage. I am excited to try this. Thank you!

R - rest, I - ice, C - compress, E - elevate (RICE). This is exactly what I did when I had a calf strain on my right leg. A week after, I executed post-strain calf strength training for 14 days.

Lots'a love, cheers, & Mabuhay, from tropical Philippines!

Thanks for doing this video...I am 52 and train in strongman competitions. I was doing a 7000 lbs truck pull training and did not warm up. After about 3 rounds of pulling the truck 50 feet, I felt a pop in my right inner calf area. And found out that I had a partial tear in the calf.

I had to come back and comment. I could barely walk yesterday due to so much pain and stiffness of both of my calves from overuse during working out. Since doing the massage, ice and using a heel cushion, I was able to run around all day at work today. Thank you so much!!!

I strained my calf while asleep and in a dream. In the dream, there was a man walking out of a building wearing a bomber vest. I started running and awoke with the left calf on fire. It took two of your videos, and now I'm back on the treadmill. Thanks Brothers!

Whoops 😬. Maybe I should have watched this yesterday before stretching my calf and now it hurting more 😳

Thanks legends - I’m 53 getting back into triathlons after a long break from running and I’ve pushed the pace too soon. Once I get this calf healed I’m going to stick to a slow pace for a few months and slowly build up a good base at a slow pace before I bump up the pace 👍

Most of these are chronic soleus strains (the most vulnerable part of the calf). Unfortunately once you get one of these they are always in the shadows waiting to come back. I have struggled with these injuries as a triathlete for almost 15 years. I have made two years without one but that is the most. Consistent massage after runs has been the best deterrent but as you get older your mind is tough but the body doesn’t always follow.
