Never skip leg day or else people might judge them on the net after you become past tense

I severed my Achilles as a kid on a spiked racing bike pedal, I’m the ER when my surgeon reached up inside my leg to retrieve it, my poor dad passed out 😂
Long recovery, but fully healed (no pun intended)

If any of y'all have a tib/fib break (ankle fracture), your Achilles will be very stiff for a few months afterward. Even when you are walking again, it will be stiff (I am 5 months out and still stiff). Having it immobilized for even just 2-3 weeks after surgery really does make it shorten.

Thank you to the person that donated their body for the education of the human body.

I severed my right achilles in 2002, and then 18 months later, a man ran a stop sign and crushed my left leg, causing a tib/fib fracture, repaired with a rod/screws.

Calf strains are no joke to get over. After a year and a half still struggling with one.

I run a lot and everytime I see the Achilles tendon it gives me the chills, I can just feel like it'll snap at any moment haha. I don't feel this anxiousness for the other parts of my body but damn, these tendons man!

I've had two heel cord extensions on my right foot, that's what they called it. The first was when I was 7, and the second one was when I was 18. I'm 58 and I can still see both scars even though they are right next to each other.

My son had a severe case of true Chronic Exertional Compartment Syndrome (CECS). His lateral and anterior compartment pressures were in the 20s and 30s *at rest, * which increased to the 60's and almost 90 with six excruciating minutes of exertion. He had a fasciotomy on both legs in 2018 with great results. It would be very interesting to see a video about CECS and fasciotomies.
