Sparks are dangerous. You wouldn't sit in a room with sparks going off! Steady flow of electricity needed😂

Sparks & butterflies is your body’s alarm system telling you this person is wrong. Trust me on this. Be alarmed. Very alarmed!

Limerence is not about loving the person and wanting to be close. It's about using an idealized image of them to make yourself feel good, with little to no regard for their real personality or needs. If that person does something outside of the script, they get punished and pushed away.

Being the object of limerence hurts. It feels as if you'll never be loved for what you are.

Yes, I think it is "true" - I've met every last one of them at various times throughout my life. 🙄 I'm a formerly secure FA (healing slowly) who has a tendency to pedestal romantic interests, see's them through rose tinted specs, ignores red flags - they're only human.. and ending up trailing in the wake of a covertly narcissistic individual. Never again. 😉 It's the hope that k I l l s you! But, thanks to PDS and Thais I'm growing and finding my peace and you can too.. 🙏 💛

I can see this. Do you think there's a combination of both? I agree when something starts off with crazy intense feelings that it's likely not going to work. Same with sexual chemistry. A lot of people base their feelings for this person on this. You need to have a friendship within your relationship. Spend time without having sex sometimes. Long, deep talks and snuggles. Sharing relationship goals. Those "butterflies" and constant state of limerence is not a good starting pointfor a relationship. It will burn out and then what?
