Outside of utilizing your VA loan - I believe your post 9/11 GI Bill is the biggest perk of serving in the US Military. Today I break down the do’s and don’ts and how I was able to get my Bachelors and Masters paid for by using it wisely!

Correction to this video. The GI Bill covers 100% for only Public University. You will receive a cap of 26, 381.37$ for Private school.

I did the same thing, got my Associates for dirt cheap. Then utilized my GI bill for my BA and currently using it for my MA. Just waiting to get my $1200 Montgomery refund once it’s all said and done!

VR&E can go as long as a Ph.D as long as you have a clear justifiable educational plan. Your VR&E counselor should help you with that, but they are not all the same. Some will try to hinder you or don't know their jobs (they really don't). Get a good VR&E counselor. If you the one you got is not being helpful, ask for another one. In my experience, what was taking months for my VRC to process, only took a few hours for another counselor to do. Just make sure you do your part and complete your paperwork correctly and in time.

Used my GI bill on my last enlistment (‘16-‘19) to fill the gaps from TA. I knew as a deck seaman turned Construction Mech., getting out and supporting a family without a bachelors was not an option. First job out, with my new degree and some certs, landed me an IT DoD contractor joke for 20k more than my E-5 with bennys paycheck.

1) I thought the G.I bill was only up to 100k?

2) Doesn’t the G.I bill only cover around 15k a semester/or 30k a yr? What if your tuition is more annually

there's a cap on TA. i want to finish school i only have 36cc left to earn Bachelors. They only let us take 2 courses at a time. I don't qualify for FASFA and I can afford to pay for classes out of pocket.

Technically, no vet on Ch33 is getting BAH. They're getting MHA, which is pinned to an E5 w/dep BAH rate.

I’m using my gi bill for this emt course the va is paying for books and tuition but they won’t pay housing bc the school is to short. Has anybody have this problem?

What I would like to know is where you got your information from as far as the numbers such as the actual cap out amount that the GI bill will pay and the actual amount for Books and stipends. Does the GI bill BAH pay differently with dependents and without dependents ? If I take 4 classes in state university, only one class is in person, all the other classes are online, will I get full percent of GI Bill BAH?
