My boys are 9 & 5 (in a few days). Parental heads up- if you ever introduce your kid to something you liked as a child, be prepared for them to become obsessed beyond what you remember. Example: My nostalgia for early Pokémon can’t keep up with the dozens to hundreds of questions about evolutions, type advantages and helping navigate different games that I never played. As new games, movies or shows (Pokémon, Zelda, Star Wars etc) come out, I’ve found the easiest way to slow down the questions is to forbid my kid from spoiling things. He can’t ask thirty question on how to beat the final boss if I just finished the tutorial, but when I get to the final boss he will watch and then ask questions later.
