8:04 You're probably running the native linux client for hollow knight. I play hollow knight using proton for mod compatibility, and dxvk_hud (which I use for monitoring fps) works under that.

I normally can't stand GNOME (especially not the stock Ubuntu variant), but it would probably make more sense on a touch device like this.

Seeing as you essentially created a Steam Deck here, is it safe to say the emulators seen in this video will be at least this good, if not far better, on an actual Steam Deck, just from knowing the specs?

Just installed Ubuntu on this machine, it works beautifully with S3 sleep and everything works just as expected, should be a really nice machine for most small games and programming for this size and portability. Only thing not good is bluetooth, it works but can't recognize quit a lot of devices, probably something's wrong with AX210, need to check a little bit

I feel we need a guide to set this up, I tried Ubuntu image and I couldn’t get the screen to rotate on the LTS and I tried the 21.04 ( current release ) and couldn’t get the game pad working in games on steam.
Anyone that could point me in the right direction?

8:03 it's most likely because it's running natively OpenGL. For some reason some versions of OpenGL have issues to display mangohud. Try again with mangohud --dlsym flag

How readily usable would proton be on the my og Win1 collecting dust? I'm hoping Arch SteamOS will install on the Win1 when it comes out.

Also games that use Unity engine and run natively on linux can cause some issues with Mangohud.

Besides citra, are there other emus that benefit a lot in Linux? Win 2's linux citra runs way better than citra on win 3 on windows

Is this OS worth it ? Not just for GPD or aya ? I'd really like to cut off with all the garbage modern windows add but I'm afraid I would miss on too much softwares & games.
