Fun fact: If it's a very rare book, the math sorcerer probably has it!

I read it while pursuing ph.d in physics and it just makes you love physics. I understood some of thermodynamics concepts from it .

I do have it. It is so comprehensible. I also have the companion book "Handbook of Mathematics. It is a translation too. They are very valuable even today

These are MUCH better than commercial amazon reviews. Thankyou! I remember as a kid it was so hard to find excellent books on topics. So glad I had access to a good library that kept old books on the shelves.

thick possible b/c 100 years back we didn't have so many distractions, giving more time to read.

Very nice! I have the “Handbook of Physics” edited by Condon and Odishaw and it is also enormous.

I actually have Hütte: Des Ingenieurs Taschenbuch, Maschinenbau Teil A. A German Engineer handbook covers Mathematics and scientific basics: math and statistics, physics and chemistry. Another section covers Technological basics: materials, engineering mechanics, technical thermodynamics. The copy I have is written in German (Thankfully I know German 😅) but it’s been translated in Russian, English, French, Spanish, Hungarian and Turkish.

У Яворского и Детлафа есть ещё и учебник "Курс физики". Отлично подходит для инженерных специальностей в университетах

You should maybe start collecting some engineering books. That would be helpful and interesting😊
