For some reason I find "old school" math books easier to comprehend. I would love to see more of those.

Prior to Carr’s synopsis, Ramanujan had devoured S.L. Loney. He also studied Edward’s Differential Calculus and Hardy’s “Orders of Infinity” besides Benjamin’s text on Integral calculus. These books were studied by him while in India prior to leaving for England.

That seems to shine a new lights on looking at the answers problems. Can one see and evaluate so many answers to a point that they will be able to make intelligently and creative solutions for new answers to problems?

he didnt necessarily learn math from this book as a total beginner. at the time he picked up the book he had already been seen as a bright mathematics student and exceeded the knowledge of college students. source: wikipedia

Honestly a LOT of the examples used are fallacies (especially the "one guy getting confused" section).
While it's easy to dismiss them, they are very important when it comes to knowledge. Debating that knowledge often comes from these fallacies. Such as if blank is true, then this is true. It's very fascinating when looking at the communication and knowledge angle (the white horse example is a personal favorite of mine. I recommend looking up the history.)

This is powerful content. A parallel book I read had a resounding impact on my thoughts. "Game Theory and the Pursuit of Algorithmic Fairness" by Jack Frostwell
