i feel like the green and/or blue one is supposed to reference pandora (in her funny fireball form), since she created dark pit from the mirror of truth

the first tunic is kinda teal while the scarf part is more obviously bright green, which mimics the halo thing she’s got over her head. and the purple gem on his shoulder would be like her purple eyes/features

but the blue outfit is navy which matches her color even better, and this time his laurels are green, which more directly copies pandora’s halo thing

i know some ppl are thinking that’s unlikely because palutena already has an obvious pandora reference, but that’s the outfit when pandora actually looks like herself. it makes sense to me that dark pit would have a different pandora skin to copy her ‘fireball’ look cuz that’s how she was at the time of his creation

that or the green and blue are both simply darker/more intense versions of pit’s recolors, just as you said for the yellow one

Dark Pit is definitely my favorite character, I main him in smash

The blue costume could be a reference to Pandora. Without too many spoilers, I know the game is old and well known by now, but just in case, Dark Pit and Pandora are pretty heavily connected story-wise.
