Making A Table Saw - The Blade Lift Mechanism

Показать описание
First in a detailed series on building a wooden table saw. This one covers the heart of the saw - the blade arbor and lift mechanism.
I'm designing this as I go, so changes will happen as I progress and there will be plans available when the project ends.

Was looking for a video like yours for the past year... I had to make my own tablesaw with 0 woodworking experiance. And this part the lift mechanism is the only weak spot i need to redo. Thank you.

Nice mechanism John. I'm an engineer and a fairly amateur wood-butcher, it never fails to amaze me the precision you are able to achieve with wood, good work keep it up.

Thanks John. This is the kind of video I subscribed to your Chanel for. Can't wait to see the rest of the series. I remember the first table saw I ever owned was one that I built myself. I made it from a skill saw mounted under a table similar to one that you have built. Love all the woodworking machines, tools and jigs you've designed and built over the years.

I'm currently in the process of designing another table saw (4th iteration) so this is perfect timing for inspiration and encouragement.

Love the old school meets new school vibe in your videos...the level of detail and mechanical genius is simply amazing. From a fellow Ontarian, good luck!

Thanks. Not going to build a saw, however this gave me an idea for a limb chipper and a use for old saw blades and an old briggs and stratton.

This is great! You make things out of wood that I thought could only be made of metal.

You are definitely a mechanical minded genus. I don't know why you have haters as I enjoy all your videos. I think it's a simple case of jealousy.
