Great video exposing the ridiculousness of a "successful" and "closed" ethnic economy purportedly disconnected from the larger historically rich, white, capitalist, corporate, global economy. Also, glad you have a Jewish person explaining the Jewish circular economy because...apology, tour of Jewish institutions led by a rightwing group who suppresses marginalized Black and Arab folks, I'm a better person now because of etc etc...

I think the guy's hustle is "virtue signaling" to someone or some group. He gets points somehow.

Also, I see the deep contrast of this guy espousing some capitalist idealism like "I rub your shoulders, you rub mine" versus Dr Joy James' reference this week in her discussion with Kalonji Jama Changa (on Revolutionary Love episode). Dr James says agape is a political love of deep solidarity and interconnectedness in a community. The guy has his community based kn frar (people will stay jn the circular economy based kn their fear of reprisal or social consequences). Agape is a heart centered responsibility and love motivated.

Why would the community need charity if they're all doing well?

I live in an area where the East Indian community Raise money to help a member of their community (Temple members) to open a business and pay back at lower interest to the temple. Muslim communities buy live in houses to their members of the mosque
and pay back at lower interest and longer time.

With respect to your mother and her health journey you're either unaware or ignoring the Hebrew Free Loan Society. That have been giving out no interest loans since the early 1900's in the US. And they started in DC. I recognize your blind spot brother. But sometimes it feels like you want to erase or soften the blow due to your proximity to the group.

Some wealth has in fact been created via logistical optimization, the entrepeneurial aspects of invention, the collaborative efforts of positive sum games in society, and many other concepts.
