This is how Jewish kids are taught about money

In the video, Berel Solomon discusses the approach to financial education within the Jewish community, emphasizing the importance of teaching children about money, business, and career success from a young age. He shares a personal anecdote where his mother discouraged him from becoming a rabbi due to the low income associated with the profession, highlighting the community's focus on pursuing high-earning careers. Jewish children are encouraged to think big and aim high, understanding that financial stability is crucial for supporting large families and maintaining a kosher lifestyle, which can be expensive. This early financial education is a moral imperative rooted in the Torah. It commands parents to teach their children how to make a living to avoid the destructive cycle of poverty.

Solomon stresses that financial literacy and ambition are critical because schools do not adequately teach these skills, leaving parents responsible. By instilling a proper financial mentality, parents can help their children achieve success and avoid generational poverty. He encourages viewers to actively participate in their children's financial education.

Building wealth involves developing good habits like regularly putting money away in intervals for solid investments.Starting early is simply the best way of getting ahead to build wealth, investing remains a priority . I learnt from my last year's experience, I am able to build a suitable life beause I invested early ahead this time .

The thing that people are not taught about money, it took me a while to figure this out, the power of money isn't what it can buy. The real power of money is what it allows you to say NO to. Crappy job - if you have alternative sources or at least an emergency fund you can leave job and find a better one if you need to. If you go out and buy a bunch of stuff on credit, new car with $1000 month payment, credit card bills, etc. then your job and your money owns you. If you can manage and make money YOU control you. How many people are working crappy jobs for people they HATE because they have credit card bills, car payments, vacations on credit, etc. Control your money. Don't let money and debt control you!

This is not unique to Europe. It's sad how difficult things have become in the present generation. I was wondering how to utilise some money I had. I used some of it for e-commerce business, but that sank. I'm thinking of how to use what's left to invest, but I don't really know which way to go.

A gentile myself, at a very young age I was counseled with regards to my retirement savings, by a very wise and kind Jewish man. The generous gift of his advice allowed me to retire early and enjoy the luxuries of life that I can now afford. He also taught me the philosophy of paying it forward.

I’m not Jewish and my south Texas family always had a hard-working mindset but it was also a poverty mindset. I’m working to break the cycle and this is excellent wisdom. Subscribed and thank you!

I am not Jewish, but this is something I have great admiration for when it comes to Jewish society. You take care of each other and your own by investing in yourself and each other. This is a value that has been lost in mainstream society. Our school sysytems teach kids how to be good obedient workers just smart enough to run the machines

We never talked about money when I was growing up. If anything was said, it was usually negative in the context of an argument. So…I was left to fumble through life and figure it out on my own. Now, at 58, I finally understand much more than I ever have about money but, bad decisions made previously, have made it very difficult for me. That said, I am taking all four of my sons to an investing workshop this fall. It may, I say may, be too late for me, but if I can set my boys in the right direction, I will consider my life a success. Thanks for your video.

I simply what to say thank you for sharing. I am a Black American born into Generational Poverty and Ignorance of how the world Really works concerning Money.

My Parents while living in the Projects, put a good work ethic in me and a knowing that I was as good, as I MADE MYSELF. This was happening while the America, in general, projected a group of people that had no hope. To elevate out of the class you are born into happens to a very very small percentage of People, even in America.

That said, I retired at 41 from the Army, as planned, and now have enough resources to put $1K up a month for sharing with those that are not as fortunate as I am. All that I contribute to the idea that, I can do as much or as little as I want, Money is not Evil, and I need it to have some peace in this World. I did not have a high paying career, but I had an Excellent Long-Term Pan :-).

Great advice! Children need to understand how expensive having a family and being a responsible adult will be.

We're not Jewish, but my Uncle who retired at 31gave me awesome financial advice. "Interest in your pocket good, interest out bad". We started 35 years ago with nothing, and will retire comfortably, by those words.

a Jewish man came to my home as a contractor. he learned i am a freelance Artist my entire life - no one stopped me & i've had a blast - i am 60. he lamented that as a Jewish man he was FORCED to be a merchant and his love as a musician was never to be for him except as a sideline. My art was my entire life's work. he said i was fortunate as he lamented his own lot in life. i got news he passed 2 weeks later. it STILL affects me to this day and always will how he gave a SHOUT OUT to my GOOD FORTUNE as he lamented his own misfortune as a Jewish man. GodBless & RIP St. Les. "where Les(s) is MORE"

As always, a great analysis. Newcomers often wonder if it's too late to navigate the financial market, but the market is always unpredictable. Trading has more advantages than simply holding, so it's important to learn before diving in. Active trades are necessary to ride the market's waves. Thanks to Evelyn Infurna’s insights, daily trade signals, and my dedication to learning, I've been increasing my daily earnings, managed to grow a nest egg of around 127k to a decent 532k. Kudos to the journey ahead!
