I have seen a few other dresses in this “challenge” and I vote that yours is the best! I am starting to be inspired by you to get my grandmother’s Singer Featherweight out and start sewing this dress.

Oh, my gosh. Great idea for a channel---making 1950's dresses. Can't find anything on line that's 100 cotton or silk, buttons up the front, covers the arms, has a billowy skirt, slant pockets and moves the way women walk. Plus, your enthusiasm is infectious!

I would *never* have thought to put those two prints together - yet they're absolutely perfect for that dress!

One of those channels you come across that you'd never think of visiting but when you do you are glad you did. Everything looks so cool .

I showed my mom this and she smiled as soon as she saw the sewing machine. She was a kid in the 50’s and she said you took her back to watching her mom and grandmom sewing.

I hope this means, 'if you keep clothes long enough, they always come back into style'. Adorable!

My momma was an awesome seamstress and as a newlywed my daddy bought her her dream sewing machine! A heavy duty Singer.
They married in 1957. My mom still has the sewing machine, but doesn’t sew anymore. She sewed almost all my clothes when I was a little girl and all the older church ladies were really impressed by her perfect sew skills.
I’m pretty sure there is a photo somewhere of her in that very dress. She had a sewing cabinet full of beautiful patterns❤️
She was quite the fashionista in our small farming community! 🥰

I would for those Styles to come back. So dignified, feminine and graceful. Pretty too. Appreciate your showing these beautiful cloths you make.
