Getting a second degree is a BIG DEAL. I'm here to help give you as much information as possible so you can make the best decision FOR YOU! It is never too late to start again or try something different. If you are passionate about becoming a nurse & you already have a bachelor's degree, I highly recommend an accelerated program.

To my fellow nursing students -- hang in there, you've got this, drink water, stretch, and don't forget to smile every once & awhile.

Who is she??
Hello!! My name is Margaret Armen. I am 25 years old and I live in the very fun (definitely underrated) Pittsburgh, PA! A year ago I left my job in advertising to go back to school for nursing. I am currently in an accelerated BSN program with a plan to graduate in December 2021. I love bingeing a good TV show, listening to a murder podcast, and snuggling my little pup. Hope you're here for a good time, a few laughs, and plenty of awkward moments. xx

I just got accepted to an 11 month program! I’m single and no kids and I plan on moving in with my mom while I do this program…it’s gonna be tough but worth it!

I also worked in advertising and wasn’t feeling fulfilled. My first prerequisite for my ABSN starts next week!

About to graduate from my ABSN program in two months. I love that you mention how nursing school is not this terrible nearly impossible thing people make out to be. Is it hard? Yes. Doable? Totally. And my program is 12months and I'm second language speaker. Just FYI that last semester with you one on one with a nurse aka preceptorship is a requirement for all nursing schools.

I love how encouraging you were in this video. I've watched so many videos about ABSN programs and they all have me freaked out lol but I really appreciate this. I"m definitely going to go for the ABSN. I have all my pre reqs done except two classes.

I’m a journalism grad too! I’ve been working in TV since graduating, but I’m burnt out. Interviewing medical professionals throughout the pandemic has really re-sparked my interest in nursing. I keep going back and forth with starting my prereqs but this made me more excited to actually look more into it.

This was so lovely to watch thank you!! I start my program this August and have had to steer clear of youtube sometimes because some people make me feel like I really won’t be able to handle a 15 month ABSN program. I just know I can do it because I am passionate about becoming a good nurse and wouldn’t have gotten into my program if they thought I couldn’t handle it.

It's wild how similar our stories are! I have a bachelors in Communications and Journalism and once I was working in the field I felt really disconnected from the work. The pandemic really inspired me to get into healthcare! It took me a year, but I'm finally in my last semester of pre-requisites and I am planning to start a program in June! I got a job at a local hospital as a patient care tech and became a certified birth doula to get some experience, and I feel so certain that this work is what I want to do. congrats and best of luck to you!!!

Graduating with my degree in COM this December and starting my pre reqs in January! I’ve always had nursing on the back of my mind but the pandemic has really solidified my passion to help people in need. Thanks for the video!

I just graduated with my BSBA in Marketing. All throughout high school, my heart was set on nursing. I don’t know why, but changed my mind right before I went to college. Ive been struggling to find a job in Marketing, and ended up working at a covid vaccination clinic as a tech where I work with nurses. This job has reminded me why I was so passionate about nursing, so now I’m in the process of enrolling in the pre-reqs for an accelerated nursing program!

Thank you for this video. My son has a yr and half left in his undergrad and is very interested in the ABSN path post-grad and has started researching programs in the southeastern US. This was a very well put together and most importantly, sincere video.

Hey, I am also trying to get into an ABSN program because of fear of not being able to do it. I became a teacher and now I am going back to school to do the thing I should have done in the first place. Fear won but it wont this time!

Yea I agree. I’m starting my absn in less than a week and people get deferred from applying because they don’t have the prereqs. But orgo for me was INSANE and for some programs they require it others don’t. So you can def tailor which prereqs you can take if you know ur not gonna do good on certain ones. And yes looking up the stats on the school are VERY serious
