Why haven't we found aliens yet? ( Fermi Paradox Iceberg) There's a lot of great theories to why we haven't discovered aliens despite there being a massive possibility they are out there. I cover some reasonable theories, some dark ones, and a lot of interesting ideas.

I created this chart the Fermi Paradox Iceberg:

1. Rare Earth Hypothesis / Great Filter
2. Self Destruction Theory
3. Dark Forest Theory
4. Zoo Hypothesis / Incubation Theory
5. Early Bird Theory
6. Signal Propagation Issues
7. Difficult Galactic Colonization
8. Alien Presence on Earth
9. Short Lifespan of Civilization
10. Different Forms of Life
11. Simulation Hypothesis
12. Resource Allocation

I imagine the dark forest theory as us sending “hello anyone there” and another civilization just says “shut up or they will find us”

There’s another theory I have, there could be intelligent life that communicates in a way that is very localized like how ants communicate with pheromones and chemical signals by touching antennae. Look at all the amazing feats of construction and coordination that ants do, so imagine an alien species with a similar biology. They could have amazing intelligence, philosophy, art and technology but no conception of radio signals and no desire to travel into space.

This is one of the best videos I’ve seen in some time. Funny, short, to the freakin point. Thank you so much and please keep making more.

Imagine we finally catch a message and after years spent translating, it say "It's coming for you...we're sorry"

My personal head cannon is that our communications technology is either too primitive, advanced, or is simply incompatible with that of extraterrestrials.

People "way back in the day before we had computers" were just as smart, if not smarter, than us today (in a general sense).

I think we're a ghost town to them, perhaps a gas station with a hotel. Recharging to get to the next gas station light years away.

our entire universe is in a jar somewhere placed on alien child's shelf as a science project

I find the zookeeper idea pretty comforting actually. If there was some super advanced alien species that doesn't interfere with us except to prevent us from annihilating ourselves.
Makes me a bit more hopeful that we'll actually make it some day.

If advanced life looked at us and saw “dinosaurs”, shouldn’t that advance life know that the image viewed from a distance differs from what’s actually happening?

I wonder if, given the signal propagation issue theory is correct / part of the correct answer, Aliens have watched this video and this earthling mentions Earth’s communication waves are less advanced to theirs, but the name for the alien’s communication waves are just a different term than the aliens use, but their like “Y’know, it’s not the kind of communication we use, but his brain is in the right place.”

My Headcannon is that they straight up just don't care about us like Why would anyone waist there time on some random species on some random space rock in the middle of nowhere
