I’ve lost my faith in GoPro over the years. I’ve had the GoPro two, three, five, seven, and 11. Each one had its own problems when I used it, and once I started using DJI, I realized there are much better alternatives out there. Even if this one has better features than the action five, I’ve lost enough footage to value reliability over specs.

No more Go Pro. Serous 400 frames per second in 720 P? Maybe 1000 frames per second in 360 P? Not this way Go Pro. We need 5, 3 K in 120 frames and 4K in 240 frames. That is something and not 400 in 720. I am curious if the front display will be touch screen as in DJI? I have Go Pro 10 but I can’t wait anymore for properly update that camera. Other brands offer more. Low light performance no change in Go Pro. That a nail to the coffin this company. Another product created only to buy lenses or different charger and battery. Adios Go Pro.

I hope they still have the timecode in the metadata, so you can use multiple cameras in various angles and sync them easily. I've used the GoProLabs firmware in Hero 7-11 for multicam shoots and viewing all angles simultaneously with FutureVideo's Multi-View HD Pro 2 software. Hero 12 had the capability to sync either by QRcode or LTC.

Thanks for keeping us updated. I’m hoping the leak tomorrow being launch day is accurate. I’ll be buying the Hero13, an extra pair of batteries with charger and a mag mount or 3.
If the Hero is 4k at 60fps capable with same stabilization and better battery than 11 Mini, I’ll get that also. I’ve got the Max Lens 2.0 and don’t need the others.
I’ll check back after I’ve set my credit card on fire tomorrow.

This is very interesting, especially the lenses, but doesn’t really compel me to upgrade from the GoPro Hero 12. I got the GoPro hero 12 for my birthday earlier this year and I love it for just throwing in my bag and having it as a quick on the go tiny video camera. I don’t really use it as an action camera although I have taken it in the pool a few times and I love that I don’t have to really worry about it being fragile. The only thing I really don’t like about is the low light performance, so I have my eyes on the Ace Pro, especially if they come out with a new one because the price will likely drop on the OG. I also am interested in the Osmo pocket 3 for vlogging. Lots of great little cameras out there and the good news is with all these new cameras coming out, prices should be dropping on the older models!

Interesting that the action 5 is not gonna be that much of an upgrade?! I was expecting it to be something really cool.

Not groundbreaking. I have my Hero 9 and have not used it and probably won't use it again. GoPro is hilarious. They are in a rutt and I'm surprised they are still in business.
