$130 is an extremely fair setup charge for a tattoo

I've never understood why people black out the names of companies that try and pull this crap.

You have every right to shame them for being shit.

Fun fact: the people that do the portraits for the us currency are actually *multiple* artists. (at least according to a documentary I watched as a kid)
It's to make sure that no one can perfectly recreate it.
...
This was an old documentary even when I watched it almost 20 years ago.

I still love that stores sign that said
"Price has already been negotiated for your convenience!"

"we are willing to look pass your €50/hour fee" also known as "we are ignoring your standard and completely disrespecting you as a worker and a human.please work for free?!"

"nobody told me how much the tattoo would cost" - what was wrong with asking? That's one of the first questions that should be asked in any transaction.
[] "We are willing to look past your 50 Euro an hour fee" - yeah, I just bet you're willing to "look past it" and not pay him anything becaues, of course, his input wouldn't have been "satisfactory".
"We have a strong policy against working with shysters" - so they don't work with themselves?

Books in Germany have a fixed prize for a certain time after release. It's to protect education and knowledge from getting thrown under the competition bus so it's worth making them.

5:00 a company who doesn't use punctuation properly is off-putting to say the least

OMG it’s the Supercars, an Australian touring car competition. They make BIG money and they’re not even paying their paramedics? Classic.

So, its actually pretty common for volunteers to supplement medical teams during large events, but usually these events will contract out a charity/volunteer org (like the Red Cross) to provide the volunteers, not directly try to solicit volunteers. That stinks of cost cutting.

I wouldn't be surprised if that father is one of the bosses of the Choosing Beggars and the final boss is still out there somewhere...

$130 is pretty pricey for a shop min.. then again I remember my shop i got work done was a $40 min BUT that was in early 2000s.

None of the work I have had done was small enough for a shop min and again that was almost 20 years ago and in Orange County (Fullerton) so not just a hole in the wall spot.. perhaps shop mins are higher now, I havent had any work done in a while.

I wonder if Luke is Jewish. Because if he is, and they referred to him as a "shyster, " he would be in a good position to sue. If someone acted like that and said that to me, I would take them to court. But hey, I'm Jewish, it's in my blood to get litigious. (<- that's a joke)

I guarantee the business requiring someone to work on a "trial basis" was not going to pay the guy for his work. They'd claim they found something or other wrong with it and not pay them. Lots of businesses get free labor done this way, like if they need a website made they'd run a help wanted ad looking for a web developer, and part of the "hiring process" is a "test" to see if the prospective employee can build a website to their specifications. Once it's done, they tell the candidate, "OK, thank you very much, we'll let you know." and usher them out the door, then use the website they made while never hiring them or anyone else.

Beware of anyone requiring you to complete a task as a "test" to see if you're qualified to work at their business, they're probably just looking for free labor.

When people act this should be put out in the public and " publicly humiliated for their actions"! Maybe that might change some of their actions in the future?!🤔🤔👍👍👍👍

I think the portrait of Washington on the one dollar bill is based on a painting by Gilbert Staurt.

A friend was at a yard sale, and a woman was haggling over a quarter.

I get tattoos often and I live in a VERY high cost of living area of the country. However, most shops here are under $100 for a minimum, in fact off the top of my head, the place I typically go to is $75. But the other ones are no more than $80-$90 so yes 130 seems insane to me. And there are some that are even 60, the more lesser known places

Lmaooo Wellington is the capital city of my country, New Zealand 😂 its kinda small (not physically, but ppl wise), to the point where everyone you know and everyone they know will know when you fuck up. 😂 its too small of a world to be a choosing beggar, what with the internet making it so easy 😂
