I don't think the people in the comments understand this dissociation in of itself is not a disorder anyone can experience dissociation it's a natural human behavior.

So many “licensed” people give out horrible and straight up dangerous information. Your brain can go on auto pilot mode when doing mundane tasks like driving to the same location every day or brewing coffee. Dissociation is similar but not the same thing. Dissociation is when your body and mind separate as a protection mechanism. A zebra will do this while being eaten alive by a lion so it doesn’t have to quite literally experience it. That’s why they make very little noise and struggle so little while being eaten. The brain can do this to the body when the nervous system is overwhelmed with a traumatic experience weather physical or emotional. So if everyone “dissociates” every day throughout the day, what is the point of this video? What person hasn’t had deja vu or forget their drive to work. Lots of people also forget what they cooked for lunch. Don’t go around giving people an excuse to stamp another label on themselves. People with dissociative disorders may experience this, but that doesn’t mean it’s a symptom. Just like someone with BPD might have a stomach that growls when they’re hungry so you better make a video about that next. Everything you listed is nothing more than typical human behavior. Planting ideas in peoples head convinces everyone they all have autism, adhd, schizophrenia etc etc. that takes away help from people who actually need it. stay far away from the “mental health” side of YouTube and tiktok, y’all. Go see a real doctor if you have mental health issues that effect your functionality in daily life.

What is this???
I genuinely need some assistance. This is all brand new knowledge to me.
Can one have a chronic/ consistent experience of derealisation? (am 32 yr F a few months into ADHD journey, incl meds)

Is it possible for someone to be experiencing reality for the first time? Atleast glimpses. It's terrifying.
