Nice video which covers the basics. Can you do a more indepth video (or recommend one) where the wireless access point features like point to point and point to multipoint are clearly explained?

Hello, great information. Question, does an AP share the same SSID as my router? I need to get more wifi strength to my security cameras and if I connect an AP closer to them, will that bring the signal closer or do I have to reassign a new SSID for the AP and then reconnect my cameras to that? Thank you for the support.

Thank you for the video. It is very helpful. Could you provide a video on a PoweConnect 6224 Dell switch that will serve both routing and dhcp.

Tp link sell wifi devices which can work in an Access point mode or in a router mode... Whats the difference ? An ap is a wireless lan Switch, does that mean they will get a lan IP address, the same network as the desktop wired pc ? I don't get that much the difference between those two ?

can i connect an old router somewhere in my house and use it as a wifi repeater? I want to avoid the strengthening of my wfi because i don't know if it is dangerous for my health the strong wifi connection.
I will appreciate your answer.

Shortly: if you do not have WiFi Internet and you are forced to connect internet via modem and ARJ45 cable, then you can connect your repeater to the one of few connections of the the modem via ARJ45 cable and use the AP-Mode of the repeater.
Why:
1.
You get WiFi-LAN this way and you pay your provider only for cheaper modem instead paying for router with WiFi-LAN:
5, - dollar monthly for modem plus once 20, - dollar for AP-repeater is less then 10, - dollar monthly for WiFi-router.
2.
You do not loose the internet speed using WiFi-router and WiFi-repeaters in long distances and through big walls as you connect to the internet using th ARJ-45 cable and only in the last room/area you take Waves form the AP mode of the repeater.
