I use presets in Ableton a lot. Just today I mixed some vocals for a projects within 15 minutes since I had presets saved for lead vocals, vocal groups and vocal reverb.

I have a preset saved for literally every type of effect chain I use on a regular basis. It basically cuts the time I have to load the effects up to 80% some of the time (if I had like 10 effects in one chain). So I work much faster.

I use presets a lot. Not only for specific instrument presets with efx chains but also kind of boilerplates like Kontakt Output Analog Strings which opens Kontakt with Analog Strings loaded but without a specific Analog String preset. This way I save extra clicks inside the vst. Sometimes I even add macros to the presets so I don't need the vst interface at all.

its one of my favourite things in ableton i have a bunch of reverb chains delay chains 808 chains vocal chains etc it's so much faster to especially in sessions to get cool shit without spending hella time

Hi! But its saves like an Instrument Rack, right? Would there be a way to save it like an individual preset? In my case, I create individual live sets per song, and Im trying to find the best way to be able to create a set list with three songs for when I play live. I figured out the chain selector to be able to change songs smoothly, but can't find a way how to load the different songs (live sets) into a new live set for the actual live concert. I tried saving presets pero sound in song but then have to copy paste every effect individually, while mapping the chain selector as well. ANY help would be greatly appreciated! Ableton newbie here.

With instruments I always create a midi clip with one note in it, drag that midi clip into the user library. 
This way I can preview the sound when searching through my user library
