So... my first Tanghulu attempt turned into a sticky crystalized hot mess!

✨recipe:
✨skewer fruit on a stick (strawberries, grapes, etc.)
✨in a small saucepan, heat up 2 cups of sugar and 1 cup water over high heat. Boil and with a thermometer make sure the mixture gets to 300F (no less). Once it gets to 300F, remove from heat immediately, and start rotating the skewers into the sugar mixture.
✨(I didn't show in video) but best practice is to immediately remove the fruit out of the sugar mixture and plunge into ice cold water. Serve immediately and enjoy 😉

Oh you also have to dip it in cold water with ice because it helps the dripping of the sugar water (just saying to help)☺️

dont stir the sugar, it can cause it to crystallize while cooking. it'll dissolve as the water heats up. using corn syrup can make it easier to get the right glassy texture
