This Strawberry Tanghulu has a sweet crunchy shell on the outside and ripe strawberries on the inside. It's easy to make and perfect for a summer treat.

The worst part of making this is cleaning the sugar out of the pan, so I usually (when I’m done) add more water and boil the water and then pour it out.

tip: you don't need just granulated you can use any sugar

2 cups granulated sugar
1 cup water
don’t stir or touch until it reaches 300°
and while that is cooking get a bowl and add cold water and alot of ice
and after hurry and dip your strawberries or any fruit you want in the hot sugar
and right after dip your fruit in the cold water and there you go tangulu

Thank you for sharing the recipe! Would like to add a bit of introduction. This snack originated from Beijing/Tianjin area in China, and it is actually enjoyed in Winter, as the sugar would easily stay frozen in cold weather. One of my favourite snacks since my childhood :)

If you want to make this but don’t have skewers u can use a fork instead or anything that u can poke through the strawberry! Hope this helps!

I did this with my friend we did this as a contest and I won. If you do keep spinning the strawberry in the syrup, it will turn into this really crispy crunchy sweet and sour treat, but if you just dip it in the syrup for a short amount of time, it will just be a boring normal strawberry. (Hope this helps!)🍓👍

Tried it last night THE BEST THING IVE EVER HAD so good for some reason my sister thought the strawberry was supposed to be crunchy tell me if you agree but the outside was crunchy and the inside was soft and chewy it was so good and the strawberries if they were sour or sweet, it was still good because it made it either really really sweet or the perfect amount of sweet
