The #VolkswagenJetta is VW’s signature car in the US. Even though the latest #VWJetta is no longer the company’s best-selling model, it still manages to be right behind the top-selling Tiguan and Atlas in the lineup. For 2022, the #Jetta gets a new 1.5L turbo engine with more power and up to 43 MPG with the standard 6-speed manual.

This car is designed for an audience that wants to go unnoticed in a crowd. It’s stylish but boring, it’s slow, but sporty, its interior is plain but somehow luxurious. It’s a german car through and through.

This car is honestly a steal. Maybe not in full SEL trim, but in the lower trims it’s a great value for what you get. Really soaks up bumps over rough road.

I've had two Jetta's. Current one is a 2020 and it has been great. My day to day commute is 20 miles round trip. I can run on one tank for close to three weeks and get over 400 miles out of it. I took it on a road trip to Dayton Ohio (from Texas) and my best range on a tank was 570 miles. I keep it in normal mode. It's quite with minimal/wind road noise. Car has served me well thus far.

I have a 2020 but this new redesign is tempting me to get a 2022. I drive 120 miles a day for work and I LOVE my Jetta so much. So smooth and luxurious feeling compared to other compact cars

"This is has the old steering wheel with buttons that some of you are going to prefer"

If by some of us you mean everyone then yes thats correct.

I can honestly say this generation Jetta is conservative but rather attractive. Some of the small updates from 21 to 22 have made quite an improvement, have always liked the interior and personally found the Jetta an alternative to the sea of Corollas and Civics.

I test drove this '22 Jetta SEL and the '22 Civic Touring last week, both drive nice. I'm choosing the Jetta SEL due to it having an 8-speed automatic vs a CVT. The Jetta also has ventilated, and more important for me, two-way lumbar support. Honda missed it by not having lumbar support with ventilated a nice bonus for this price point. I enjoyed your review, this is going to be a great all around daily driver plus a comfy road tripper.

I love my Jetta. Compared to other similar makes/models/price point it blew them away.

I was the proud owner of a 2017 Jetta SE w/manual until it was unfortunately totaled January last year. Absolutely loved that car. I bought a 2020 Jetta R-Line a couple weeks after my accident and thought I would love it as much. I didn't realize the car didn't have SiriusXM until I drove it off the lot. I didn't even look into that before going to the dealership. I knew the redesign came with a torsion beam rear suspension and thought I wouldn't mind it nearly as much as I did. I've been in a 2021 Jetta GLI for about a month and a half now and the ride is so much better. It's nice to see Volkswagen add a fair amount of features to the Jetta for this model year, but that rear suspension would be a deal breaker for me since I've had the opportunity to experience both flavors.

I currently have a 2013 Volkswagen Jetta 2.5 SE and I've had it for 8 years now. It's the most reliable car I've ever had. Never broke down and I drive VERY rough, but professionally. The car had never given me problems other than a failing headlight. The best part is that it's in mint condition and I'm planning on selling my current Jetta for this one.

I like this Jetta because it's extremely comfortable and it has a lot of new features that could make my drive a lot more comfortable. I ain't much for speed, all I want is comfort.

“The backseat is larger than you’d expect for its class” is a sentence you’ll hear in every single VW review lately. Jetta, Taos, Atlas, Tiguan, they are all massive at the back

VW is the car that will save your life during a crash unlike Toyotas, Nissans and Hondas...and any other non- German cars.

I have a Wolfsburg 2010 jetta with 200k miles going strong best car I've ever had. Love the new GLI. I have a family they'll just have to squeeze in the back seat lol 😆

Bought a Jetta SEL in 2016. This car has been flawless and reliable. I average about 34MPG with the 1.8TSI engine. I now have over 77, 000 miles on this vehicle. With these new upgrades to the 2022 Jetta, I am seriously thinking of trading my 2016 in for a 2022 SEL.

I have to say I’m a fan of the laid back, mature, luxurious styling that the MK7 Jetta and new Civic have. I prefer it to the overly boring styling of the Corolla and the in your face styling of the Elantra. Just my opinion.

This and the new Honda Civic have grown so much that they are now occupying the role of the older Passats and Accords. I’d really love to see VW and Honda introduce smaller models fill the void of the previous generations of Jettas and Civics.

What’s crazy is that motor trend was able to get better 0-60 times and only .02 seconds slower than the civic si in 1/4mile with the base Jetta sport . Considering a civic si after market adjust and ttl is 36k and a Jetta sport can be had for less than 24k after ttl it’s a great deal .
